A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Caribbean agencies and USAID on climate change.
According to an email from the USAID, signatories included the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology and the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency.
The MoU seeks to strengthen ties between the organizations as the Caribbean seeks to protect human and nature assets from climate change.
US Ambassador to Guyana and CARICOM, Sarah-Ann Lynch says these agreements will bring all involved closer to climate goals.
The MoU was signed at the virtual opening of a three-week regional climate symposium.
