UPDATED: No arrests after Beetham protest

There have been no arrests following an early morning protest which resulted in the blocking of roads on the Beetham Highway and Priority Bus Route.

This has been confirmed to 103.1FM News by police who also say that the cause of the demonstration is an overflow of sewerage in Beetham Gardens.

Starting shortly before 6am, there was heavy traffic heading into the capital city.

At one point, traffic had to be diverted at the Civilian Conservation Corp compound onto the PBR and then the Eastern Main Road, before the blockage was cleared by police and fire officials.
