United States to resume use of death penalty

US Attorney General William Barr has ordered the reinstatement of the federal death penalty, 16 years after the last execution.

He has also called for the Prisons to schedule the executions of five death-row inmates convicted of murder.

Mr. Barr says the justice department upholds the rule of law and they owe it to the victims and their families to carry forward the sentence imposed.
