Police are yet to identify a woman who died in a Sea Lots fire yesterday.
Reports indicate that the blaze broke out, around 4pm, in a wooden and galvanized structure off Production Drive where she was staying.
The Guardian reports that on hearing screams, villagers tried to break open the apartment but the woman panicked and got trapped.
It states that by the time fire officers extinguished the blaze around 5pm, her charred remains were found inside the structure.
A dog also died in the fire.
Four other units were completely destroyed leaving six people homeless.
A cause for the blaze is still to be ascertained.
