Unemployed man due in court over Penal robbery

    An unemployed man is expected in court following an alleged robbery in Penal earlier this month.

    The man, who has no fixed address, was detained by police and has since been charged with two counts of robbery with violence.

    The victim, the proprietor of a poultry depot, reported to police, that on December 20th, he was liming with two friends in the gallery of his home when they approached by two men, both carrying guns.

    The suspects announced a hold up and tied the man and his two friends with tie straps before taking $40,000 cash and a Samsung cellphone, before escaping in the man’s $70,000 Subaru vehicle.

    There has been no word by the TTPS about the recovery of the stolen items.
