The Chairman of the UNC’s Youth Arm says OJT interns are willing to take legal action over the alleged untimely payment of stipends.
Kaveesh Siewdial today hosted a media briefing on the issue where he explained that interns are supposed to be paid on the 15th of each month.
However, he claimed that for June, July and August, payments have been late.
Mr Siewdial warned that some of the affected interns are considering their legal options.
Mr Siewdial said the stipends are critical to their interns being able to afford food or a roof over their heads.
