UNC Deputy Leader David Lee says the party’s National Executive and the Parliamentary Arm remain in full support of Political Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
In a statement, he insisted that Mrs Persad Bissessar is the only Leader with the vision, track record, competence, and compassion to save T&T from the chaos plaguing national development.
He adds that she continues to be loved not only by the party’s membership, but by citizens as well.
Meanwhile, this statement follows a motion filed by UNC members Dr Fuad Khan and Ramona Ramdial.
The motion called on the leadership to find a way to communicate and embrace with and embrace certain previous experienced members and well-wishers.
It also proposed that failure to develop such a plan within three months should result in a new internal election for the National Executive, “without the position of Political Leader being contested.
