Two policemen appear in court for a 2016 murder


    Almost two years after the death of 34 year old Adil Gilbert, two policemen have appeared in court for his murder.

    They are Police Constables 45 year old Donald Snaggs and 34 year old Peter Farnum, last attached to the Canine and Mounted Branch and Inter-Agency Task Force Port of Spain, respectively.

    It is alleged that Gilbert was shot and killed on October 20th 2016 by 2 uniformed officers during an anti-crime exercise in Embacadere.

    An investigation was launched into the incident after which Snaggs and Farnum were arrested and charged on Tuesday.

    They stood before a San Fernando Magistrate yesterday and the matter was postponed to Monday September 17th.
