Two new COVID-19 deaths; 16 additional cases


    An elderly man and elderly woman are T&T’s latest COVID-19 fatalities, pushing the toll to 118.

    This is according to the Health Ministry’s daily update which also confirms that the persons had pre-existing medical conditions.

    Additionally, there are 16 new cases and these persons will be processed for admission to facilities at the discretion of County Medical Officers.

    Active cases stand at 758.

    There have also been 22 recovered community cases and eight discharges from public health facilities.

    36 patients remain in hospital, 29 are in step-down facilities and 677 are in home self-isolation, including 175 in the care of the prison system.

    205 persons are in state quarantine facilities.

    Since the start of the pandemic, T&T has recorded 6,586 cases, 5,710 recoveries and 118 deaths.
