Two Chinese nationals in court for money laundering


    Two Chinese nationals are due in court on money laundering charges after they were found with $173,932 at their Marabella home.

    According to police, the men were allegedly running illegal Play Whe bets and had roulette and other gaming machines without proper licenses and were held on July 18th.

    Their arrests came a day after another Chinese national with the same address, was held while trying to leave the country with US $213,500, allegedly found in the lining of his suitcase.

    He was charged by Customs and Excise for attempting to export a prohibited substance.
