Tunapuna man charged with sexual offences against step-daughter

    A 43-year-old Tunapuna man has been ordered to stay 50 feet away from his step-daughter, after appearing in court for sexual offences against the minor.

    The accused was charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a minor and two counts of sexual touching.

    He appeared before Port of Spain Magistrate Maureen Baboolal-Gafoor on Monday and was granted $150,000 bail.

    The matter was adjourned to October 17th 2022.

    The girl reported to her teachers that a man came to her bedroom frequently at night when her mother was asleep and allegedly committed sexual acts against her.

    A report was subsequently made to police, with the accused arrested and charged on September 24th.
