A 53-year-old man has been charged with seven offences after a domestic dispute involving his common-law wife.
On June 19th, a report was made to the Tunapuna Police Station, with an investigation being launched by the Gender Based Violence Unit.
Wayne Munroe was arrested on June 20th and his firearm with 16 rounds of ammunition was taken away.
He was charged with possession of a firearm to endanger life, possession of ammunition to endanger life, three counts of shooting with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and two counts of exposing a child to danger.
He was granted $15,000 by Arima Magistrate Indra Ramoo-Haynes, who also ordered him to vacate the premises in Tunapuna, refrain from communicating with the woman, stay 100 meters away from her and her children, and to report to the Tunapuna Police Station every Wednesday between 6am and 6pm.
He is expected to reappear on July 19th.
