TTUTA will march through the streets of Port of Spain on October 1st to protest a delay in the start of salary negotiations.
During a media conference this morning, TTUTA 2nd Vice-President Kyrla Robertson-Thomas says on a number of occasions between 2017 and now, the union wrote to the CPO in a bid to get the talks underway for the period 2014-2017.
She says on many occasions, the CPO stated that no instructions had been given by the Government to begin negotiations.
TTUTA President Lynsley Doodhai says teachers are now rallying for action.
Mr Doodhai also believes Education Minister can help get things underway, despite not being directly involved in negotiations.
