TTPS warns against disobeying road laws, reports reduction in road deaths

Motorists are being urged to obey road traffic laws in a bid to maintain “positive gains” made so far this year.

The TTPS says there has been a 20% decrease in road traffic deaths in 2020 as the figure stands at 63 – 16 fatalities less than the same period last year.

However, following an accident on Friday 14th August which killed an 18-year-old and a hit and run last night which claimed the life of a male pedestrian, drivers are being warned about disregarding laws.
