Three persons lost their lives in a road traffic accident early yesterday along the north bound lane of the Uriah Butler Highway.
The police service says preliminary reports suggest that that the driver of a silver Nissan Tiida collided into the rear of a 10-Wheeler Lorry Truck.
He, along with two occupants of the vehicle, a man and a woman, sustained fatal injuries.
The TTPS is appealing to motorists to keep in mind the importance of being safe and alert when driving on the road.
It adds that for 2020, 71 persons have lost their lives in road traffic accidents, compared to 97 for the same period last year.
