Investigations have been launched into a death threat made against a political leader in the lead up to the August 10th election.
This was announced by Police Commissioner Gary Griffith today at the TTPS media briefing who refused to reveal the target.
He simply said that a call was made by the perpetrator who stated his intention to kill the leader, taking away that person’s chance to lead the country.
Mr Griffith is urging parties to notify the TTPS of walkabouts even though permission is not needed.
He believes doing so will allow the police to provide safety for candidates and supporters.
