Police have found an electronic device while searching the Government Plaza Parkade where there was an explosion this morning.
No details were given by police about the nature of the device but the TTPS says it was discovered on the western side of the building.
It reiterates there have been no reported injuries or damage to property or vehicles.
The area between Independence Square North and Queen St. between Edward St. and Richmond Street remains cordoned off.
Meanwhile Police Commissioner Gary Griffith notes a three-hour time lag between the time the explosion was heard and when a report was made.
He says persons should always immediately inform the Emergency Services at 999 or 911 or via the TTPS App.
