A tropical wave is expected to affect T&T, starting from tomorrow, according to the T&T Meteorological Service.
In a Facebook video, meteorologist Gary Benjamin explains the Met Service was monitoring this wave since May 16th, 2023.
Mr Benjamin says as the weekend progresses, the probability for thunderstorm activity will increase, with similar conditions likely to continue into Monday.
He adds if this tropical wave produces a measurable amount of rainfall, then the TTMS will declare the start of the 2023 wet season.
Mr Benjamin says there are two other tropical waves being monitored, but they are located thousands of kilometres to the east of T&T, and therefore will not affect the country at this time.
