This weekend, T&T could experience some bad weather, due to a pair of tropical waves.
According to the MET Service, a slow moving tropical wave (1) is expected to pass over Lesser Antilles on Saturday, and while most of the activity is expected over the Leeward Islands, there will be indirect local effects on T&T.
This wave is then expected to dissipate as it moves further westward, into more unfavourable upper level conditions.
Meanwhile a 2nd tropical wave (2) currently in the mid-Atlantic is expected to bring moisture over T&T on Sunday/Monday.
The TTMS says it currently contains scattered showers and thunderstorms.
And all eyes are currently on Tropical Wave 3 (3) out in the East Atlantic, which carries a 40% chance of Cyclone formation within 5 days.
This system currently contains disorganized showers and thunderstorms, with conditions appear conducive for development early next week as it moves westward over the tropical Atlantic.
