T&T national charged with murder deported from Grenada

    A Diego Martin man, wanted for a 2021 Petit Valley murder, has been deported from Grenada to T&T and is due in court today.

    The 26-year-old accused is charged with the killing of 31-year-old Ricardo Ottley on June 13th last year.

    He was arrested on April 20th, 2022 in Grenada by immigration officials and convicted for entering the state without the consent of an immigration officer.

    He was deported on April 23rd and was sent into quarantine.

    Here in T&T, he has now been charged with murder, possession of a firearm to endanger life and possession of ammunition to endanger life.

    The charges stem from a report that on June 13th, 2021, a suspect with firearm was seen leaving the scene of a murder at Sparrow Drive, Simeon Road.

    Investigations leading to the man’s arrest involved T&T homicide officers, the Government of Grenada, Grenada police, Grenada Customs and Immigration, the T&T Coast Guard and INTERPOL.
