T&T Food Day proclaimed in Washington D.C.

Today, November 19th 2020, has been proclaimed as Trinidad and Tobago Food Day in Washington D.C.

According to an article on the website of the Foreign Affairs Ministry the proclamation was made by Mayor Muriel Bowser.

It says for the past two years, the T&T Embassy submitted recipes for pelau and T&T’s curried chicken, which were featured in the widely-distributed D.C. Public School International Food Days cookbook.

Today, curried chicken will be distributed to District of Columbia Public Schools students and information on T&T food will be shared across participating schools.

Promotional videos will also be posted on District of Columbia Public Schools Global Education platforms.
