Tropical Wave in Atlantic could intensify next week

A tropical wave is currently producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms in the Atlantic Ocean, a few hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands (shown in yellow).

The National Hurricane Centre says gradual development of this system is possible and a tropical depression could form by the middle of next week.

The system is moving westward towards the Caribbean, but at this time, it poses no direct threat to Trinidad and Tobago.

However, the system is being monitored and you can stay tuned to 103.1FM News for updates on this system.
