A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Barbados which is preparing for the passage of Tropical Storm Dorian.
Meanwhile Tropical Storm Watches are now in effect for St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
On the forecast track though, Dorian poses no direct threat to T&T.
According to the National Hurricane Centre, Dorian continues to move west and is expected to begin turning west north-west starting on Monday.
Strengthening is expected over the next 48 hours and the system could be near hurricane strength by Tuesday over the eastern Caribbean Sea.
On the forecast track, the centre of Dorian is expected to be near the Windward Islands late Monday and early Tuesday.
It is expected to move into the Caribbean Sea on Tuesday.
Dorian is currently packing winds near 65km/h and is expected to produce 2-4 or as much as 6 inches of rainfall in some parts of the Lesser Antilles.
