A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Bahamas.
Today the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory for the potential development of Tropical Cyclone #9.
There is currently an area of disturbed weather in the area, which is expected to become a tropical depression or a tropical storm during the next day or so.
The northwestern Bahamas, which is still reeling from the passage of Hurricane Dorian, is expected to experience tropical storm force winds and heavy rainfall tomorrow and Saturday.
Interests along the east coast of Florida are also advised to monitor the progress of this system.
Maximum sustained winds in the disturbance are currently near 45 km/h.
