Trini and Nigerian arrested for cocaine possession


    A Trinidadian and a Nigerian man, both living in the Chaguanas area, have been arrested after police found over $200,000 worth of cocaine.

    The discovery was made on Friday 6th November 2020, when officers, acting on information, went to building in St Clair.

    There, they saw two men standing with two metal, circular objects near their feet.

    Police interviewed the men and checked the one of the items and found a white powdery substance.

    Both men were taken to the Four Roads Police Station and further checks uncovered a total of 145 grammes of cocaine with an estimated value of TT$202,118.

    Searches were conducted at the homes of the two arrested persons but nothing illegal was found.
