Toco man in court for breaching a protection order


    A 44-year-old Toco man from was granted $70,000 bail for two counts of breaching a protection order.

    On September 12th and 13th 2022, the accused allegedly used threatening language, causing his ex-wife to fear for her life.

    When he appeared before Sangre Grande Magistrate Sarah De Silva on September 20th, he was ordered to refrain from communicating with the victim, unless it concerns the welfare of their child.

    He must also report to a police station in the Eastern district once per week.

    The accused will reappear in court on January 19th 2023.
