Tobago’s construction, tourism workers to be vaccinated in the week ahead

    The THA’s Division of Infrastructure says the vaccination of its employees attached to construction projects (Development, Maintenance & URP) will take place in the week ahead.

    This is carded for Thursday 17th June and Friday 18th June at the Magdalena Grand Hotel between 9am and 4pm.

    It adds that vaccines will only be administered by appointment to pre-registered workers.

    In this regard, it says registrants will be contacted via the telephone numbers provided to confirm appointments.

    Front-line workers and employees in Tobago’s tourism industry will also be vaccinated in the week ahead.

    The Tobago Tourism Agency Ltd says it has been communicating with registered tourism stakeholder groups and key organisations, to collate information regarding those willing to be vaccinated.

    It says a two-day vaccination exercise will take place on Thursday June 17th and Friday June 18th .

    TTAL is encouraging employees from all areas of the tourism industry to register for this vaccination drive, including workers in the accommodation sector, transportation providers, tour guides, travel agents, craft vendors, event organizers, caterers, restaurant and bar staff, dive operators, and reef boat operators.

    It says registered persons will be contacted by representatives from the Division of Health for their appointment, and persons will only be accepted at vaccination sites by appointment only on the designated days and times.
