Tobago tourism officials engage with BBC wildlife magazine for exposure to birdwatchers

TTAL Marketing Coordinator Sheena Des Vignes and Marketing Officer Marsha Patrick show off the stand’s green wall showcasing birds of Tobago.

Among the strategies to make Tobago more attractive to birdwatching enthusiasts, local authorities have approached the BBC.

According to a media release by the Tobago Tourism Agency Limited, it recently represented T&T at the British Birdwatching Fair in Leicestershire.

TTAL says, as part of its strategy at the event, it engaged BBC Wildlife Magazine to prominently feature Tobago in their official British Birdwatching Fair Guide.

This, it says, allowed the island to be exposed to 226,000 readers.

Also at the event, the island’s stand won 2nd place in the “Best Stand” awards while, according to TTAL, also impressing patrons.
