Tobago Parties to ratify Code of Ethical Political Conduct for THA Election

The major political parties contesting the Tobago House of Assembly Election say they will ratify and abide with the Code of Ethical Political Conduct.

According to the Council for Responsible Political Behaviour, PDP Deputy Political Leader Farley Augustine and PNM Political Leader Tracy Davidson-Celestine will sign on behalf of their parties.

Other candidates who submitted nomination papers on Monday have also been invited to sign onto the Code.

The signing will be done at 7:30am tomorrow.

Once the parties and candidates have signed, the Council says it will begin monitoring and evaluating the Parties, candidates and their supporters to ensure compliance with the Code.
