Tobago man sentenced to 58 months in jail over shop-breakings and larcenies


    A judge has sentenced a Tobago man to 58 months in jail after he appeared in court charged with shop-breaking and larceny.

    Christopher Cabral faced two counts of larceny and two counts of shop-breaking and larceny after several reports were made to police between April 28th and 30th 2021.

    During that time, the victims were robbed of a microwave, a television, over $5,000 worth of snacks, grocery items, a washing machine, garden tools, two LPG gas cylinders, two one-gallon water bottles and a case of 20-ounce soft drinks.

    He was charged after officers found stolen items at his Hart Lane, Government House Road home.
