Three girls hospitalized after ingesting stolen meds at St Jude’s Home

Three girls reportedly fell ill when they ingested medication they stole from a cabinet at the St Jude’s Home for Girls.

According to the Trinidad Guardian, they were rushed to the Port of Spain Hospital on Saturday.

It reports that the matter was highlighted by Minister in the Ministry of the Attorney General, Fitzgerald Hinds, at an event in Carenage on the same day.

He claimed that the drugs were stolen and taken by the girls in a bid to get high.

Minister Hinds also said another three girls had run away from the same Belmont based institution.
