Thieves hit WASA booster station in California

WASA is assessing damage at the California Booster Station after the theft of electrical wiring, equipment and metal sheets.

In a media release, the company says the incident took place yesterday and disabled the plant along Phoenix Park Road.

WASA has since adjusted operations on its distribution system to prevent any disruption in service to persons in the California area.

It is strongly condemning the action of larceny against its infrastructure which is designed to provide a water supply.

This incident follows a similar incident earlier this year at the Thicke Village Booster Station.
