Testing of Early Warning Systems in Tobago on Thursday

If you hear sirens in Tobago around midday tomorrow, don’t be alarmed.

The Tobago Emergency Management Agency says it will be testing four Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems from 11:30am t0 12pm.

These are being done in Crown Point, Bon Accord, Canaan and Scarborough.

TEMA reiterates that this is a routine test and does not warrant an evacuation of any kind.

It says this is to ensure that there is effective communication of its warning systems in high-risk communities on the island, as well as general maintenance of the Early Warning Systems.
