The latest uptick in COVID-19 cases is now affecting more areas.
Last month, clusters of cases were noted in the counties of Caroni in Central Trinidad and St Patrick in the southland.
According to Principal Medical Officer, Dr Maryam Abdool-Richards, cases have now increased in parts of the East-West Corridor.
Dr Abdool-Richards also revealed that from January to now, the rolling average number of cases has increased tenfold.
