T&T records 16 new COVID-19 cases; no new deaths


    Trinidad has recorded nine new COVID-19 cases, while there are seven new positives in Tobago – a total of 16 new cases of the virus.

    This is according to the Health Ministry’s daily update which notes that these figures take active cases to 758.

    The 16 new patients will be processed for admission to facilities at the discretion of County Medical Officers.

    Meanwhile, one person has been discharged from public health facilities, 35 community cases have recovered and the death toll remains at 120.

    42 patients remain hospitalized with one in ICU, 29 are in step-down facilities, 485 are in home isolation and 186 are in the care of the prison system.

    There are 272 persons in state quarantine facilities.

    Since the start of the pandemic, T&T has confirmed 6,685 cases of the virus, with 5,807 recoveries.
