A 38-year-old Glencoe man appeared in court today charged with 32 offences including gun possession and larceny.
The charges against Anthony Ryan, stem from an incident on March 14th – around 3am six persons went to Upper La Horquette Valley Road, Glencoe, in a motor vehicle.
They had a dispute with a man who then pulled out a revolver and fired several shots in their direction.
They scampered into nearby bushes and drains in fear for their lives, while the shooter then went into their car and took two phones and a quantity of cash.
Ryan was arrested around 8:30pm on March 20th.
He was charged with 6 counts of shooting with intent, 6 counts of possession of firearm to endanger life, 6 counts of possession of ammunition to endanger life, 6 counts of possession of firearm, 6 counts possession of ammunition and 2 counts of larceny.
He appeared in the Port of Spain Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded into custody for 120 days in accordance with the Bail Amendment Bill.
The matter will next be heard on April 22nd.
