Suspect arrested after women report robberies by ‘PH driver’


    After several reports from female victims of being robbed by a man claiming to be a PH taxi driver, a suspect has been arrested.

    Police’s investigations began after the women stated they were taken to Fort George or other deserted areas by the suspect in his silver Nissan Note and assaulted and robbed.

    The 26-year-old man from Long Circular Road was captured on November 25th 2020 at the traffic lights on Western Main Road and Columbus Circular, Westmoorings.

    He was reportedly recognized by three persons during identification parades.

    The man faces three counts of kidnapping, two counts of robbery with violence, one count of robbery with aggravation, one count of assault occasioning a wound and one count of malicious damage.

    Police say they are still investigating the matter.
