Suspect appears in court for the murder of Joash Pantin


    A Longdenville man has appeared in court charged with the murder of 13 year old Joash Pantin.

    38 year old Nari Maraj of Cashew Gardens stood before Magistrate Christine Charles yesterday, who denied bail and ordered his remand.

    He will next appear in court on January 10th.

    Joash, who also lived in Cashew Gardens, was last seen playing with some friends on December 1st.

    His body was found two days later in a bushy area approximately 200 metres away from his home.

    Maraj and a 15 year old boy were initially detained, however the minor has since been released.
