A stolen 35-foot pirogue and two engines have been recovered by Carenage Police with the assistance of the Coast Guard.
On Friday, the owner of the vessel named “Real Deal” was contacted by a security officer on duty at Coral Cove where it was docked.
He was told that his pirogue, valued at $400,000, was being towed out to sea by an unknown vessel.
The vessel was later recovered at the sea-front near Schuller Street.
Checks revealed that the engines were removed and placed in a grassy area.
The engines were placed in the pirogue and returned to Coral Cove.
