Stations of the Cross postponed due to COVID-19, adjustments made to Easter observances


    The Catholic Church has postponed the traditional Stations of the Cross observance, due to COVID-19.

    It will however observe other religious aspects of the Holy Week of Easter and the Sacred Triduum.

    The Sacred Triduum is the three day period from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday – it is considered the most solemn part of the Catholic liturgical year.

    Mass for the Holy Week will be broadcast on TV and online, in order to adhere to civil and ecclesiastical restrictions that are in place for COVID-19.
