Spain’s death toll rises above 5,000


    Spain’s coronavirus death toll has surpassed five thousand, following more than 800 new fatalities in the past day.

    That figure, according to reports, now stands at 5,690 while over 72,000 persons have been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 in that country.

    In the world, Spain is the second worse hit country after Italy in terms of deaths, and a state of emergency is in place there until at least April 12th, 2020.

    The army is currently on duty cleaning hospitals and other facilities.
