Sod turned for new Sangre Grande Hospital


    Sod has been turned for the construction of the new Sangre Grande Hospital.

    The ceremony took place today and included Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley and Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh.

    According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the facility will have 106 inpatient beds:

    • 24 in the Medical Ward
    • 24 in the Surgical Ward
    • 24 in the Trauma & Orthopaedic Ward
    • 24 in the General Ward
    • 4 in the High Dependency Care
    • 6 in the Intensive Care Unit

    This new facility will function as a “partner” with the current Sangre Grande Hospital and the Enhanced Health Centre.
