Several sporting organisations are calling for clarity on where they will be accommodated when Skinner Park closes for upgrades on May 18th.

San Fernando West MP Faris Al-Rawi reportedly made the announcement at the end of a family day at the venue on Monday.

According to reports, President of the San Fernando Tennis Association Anthony Cook says there was no discussion and no alternative arrangements have been made for the users.

UDeCOTT Board member Terrence Beepath however has given the assurance that public consultation will soon be held and plans and timelines will be revealed.

The upgrade at Skinner Park will include the replacement of the pavilion, an underground car park and a food strip for vendors who are now at Cross Crossing.

The works are expected to take 18 to 24 months.
