With all Forms 4-6 students returning to physical classes from Monday, SEWA TT is looking to donate 1,000 KN95 masks to every secondary school in T&T.
In a media release, it says this is an extension of the Mask Distribution Project started in April 2020.
The non-profit group believes that it is important for every school to have a stock of masks for students and teachers as replacements.
It notes that masks can fall, get dirty, left at home or some homes may not be able to afford to have extra masks.
The masks, valued at TT$2m have been donated through SEWA USA and SEWA UK, whilst all taxes and duties have been paid from SEWA TT’s Emergency Fund.
Distribution of the masks will take place over the next 3 weeks to 184 secondary schools.
