Security guard charged for alleged false report after Indian expo robbery

    A security guard has been charged for making a false report about a larceny at an India expo along Caroni Savannah Road, Charlieville.

    The man from Kelly Village allegedly told police that he was on duty at the warehouse when was tied up by a gun-wielding bandit on Monday.

    He also claimed that two trucks and two cars came to the compound and took several items away with approximately $300,000 of tables, chairs, electronics, household items and appliances going missing.

    Following investigations, the guard and two other men were charged for various offences, while the stolen items were covered.

    They are due in court today.
