Many parents and students last night were anxious to find out whether there would be school as normal in Trinidad this morning.
There had been no advisory from the Ministry of Education on the issue last night.
This means that schools will resume operations this morning.
In a release issued on Monday night, the Ministry noted then that schools will resume full operations on Wednesday unless it advised otherwise, which it did not.
And the Guardian Newspaper reported that Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, Faris Al-Rawi said last night “With the situation of downgrade we are still in alert mode – but with no government, announcements schools are still in gear for tomorrow unless advised otherwise”.
Meanwhile, in Tobago, schools will remain closed following a directive by the THA yesterday evening.
