The T&T Supermarket Association assures there is no shortage of baby formula in the country at this time.
In a media release, the association noted shortages in North America due to product recalls and supply chain disruptions among other issues.
However, it says it reached out to local suppliers and importers and the feedback received is that no issue of shortage exists presently.
Furthermore, the association says the present stock position ensures that supermarket shelves continue to have sufficient options of baby formula during this period.
But it reminds that given global complexities including the war in Europe, global supply and demand volatility continues to be deeply affected.
The association says the industry continues to work resolutely with all stakeholders to ensure a robust supply chain for all products.
