The El Dorado North Hindu School has paid tribute to Aamir Khan, a student who persevered and passed the recent S.E.A. Exam after first overcoming cancer.
In a Facebook post, the school said Aamir was in Std 4 in 2016 when he began experiencing headaches, body pains, and nausea.
He was subsequently diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a cancer of the brain.
He underwent treatment until March 2018, after which he returned to school.
He had to start again in Std 3 but was undaunted and worked hard.
According to the school, Aamir passed for his his first choice, Trinity East.
The El Dorado North Hindu School says “Aamir you are an inspiration, a worthy example for others to follow. You are the meaning of success. Indeed you are blessed.
May you always take charge of your future and may you never be defined by the difficulties of your past.”
