Roget: More action coming over 4% offer

Following a march through Port of Spain, unions are warning that more action is coming.

Today, the labour bodies and workers demonstrated in the capital city to voice disapproval of government’s 4% wage offer.

Speaking on the Brian Lara Promenade outside the Finance Ministry, OWTU President Ancel Roget said the unions to building up towards something.

Not giving away too many confirmed details, he insisted that their plans would come together like a thief in the night.

The unions’ action today was also to voice opposition to retrenchments and increases in food and fuel prices.
