Joint Trade Union Movement head Ancel Roget believes the detention of PSA President Watson Duke is politically motivated.
Yesterday, he, and other union leaders visited Mr. Duke at hospital where he remains warded.
Mr. Duke fell ill after being held by police for questioning on Monday.
Speaking after the visit, Mr. Roget expressed the trade union movement’s view on the matter.
Mr. Roget also believes the detention is an attack on Mr. Duke’s attempt to wrestle political control in Tobago, both at the THA and constituency levels.
